Circle C

Windy day at Circle C,  a north wind blowing 20mph with gusts up to 30.  Steve and I were the only players.  Keith came along for the experience.  I had another below average day for this course, I can't blame it all on the wind.

Williamson County - First Game of the Spring

We ventured north this week to play the ever challenging Williamson County DGC.  Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Dave, Chris, DD and Heady.  Keith was there but did not play.  When we started, temperatures were in the 50's and the skies were cloudy.  About halfway through, the wind picked up, the skies cleared and it warmed up considerably.  Course conditions were good, very dry.  There were plenty of other players on the course.

It was good to see friends that we have not seen the past few weeks.  Thanks to Steve for bringing Macho Tacos and Happy Birthday to Lif!

Nobody had a stellar round today.  I was pleased that I was getting some nice drives, long and straight.  However, my fairway throws let me down.  My putting was a little above my average.  Lif and DD both had shots of the day.  Lif skipped it from about halfway down the fairway on #7 to save par.  Darden floated in a blind shot, behind a cedar on #15 to save par.

Only four birdies were made today:  Chris(2), Steve(1) and Big Dave(1).  No discs lost, no discs found and one wallet found by Steve.  He was able to locate the owner on the course.

Circle C - PI Day

Less than perfect weather this morning for a round at Circle C.  Today's players were Steve, Lif, Chris and Heady.  A little cool when we started, temperatures were in the middle 50's, cloudy skies, a slight breeze and we got sprinkled on a couple of times.  Course conditions were good, not very much mud.  There were a few other groups on the course.   A player in the group behind scored and ace on #7.

I did not have a very good round, I think I only threw two good drives all day.  I was able to compensate with some nice approach shots and some lucky putts.  Scoring back to back triple bogies on holes #5 and #6 really brought my score down.

Four birdies were made today:  Chris (3) including a rare birdie on #9 and Steve (1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Cat Hollow and Davis Spring

We had a small group this morning so we decided to play two courses, Brushy Creek (aka Cat Hollow) and the nine hole course Davis Spring.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif and Heady.  The temperatures for our 8:30 start were in the 50's but it warmed up nicely.  Sunny skies and light breezes.  Course conditions were good, they cleaned up the fallen branches.  There were a fair number of other players on the courses.

I played about average today.  I got off to a good start but got into a little trouble on the back nine.  I missed a couple of birdie shots.  Since we finished early at Brush Creek, we decided to play the nearby nine hole course of Davis Spring.

Only two birdies were made today, both by Steve.  No discs found and no discs lost.
