Williamson County - Brutal Day

Williamson County DGC in Leander was the location for this week's adventure.  The players were:  Combs, Lif, Dave, Keith, Darden, Chris, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's when we started and warmed up during the round.  Overcast skies and an occasional breeze.  Course conditions were good and there were lots of players on the course.  Thanks to Chris for supplying breakfast tacos.

Not a good round for me, not really a good round for most of the group.  Steve did alright, but everyone else had problems.  I only had two good drives, my approach shots were inconsistent, I could not get my flicks to work and my putting was atrocious.  Bob had the shot of the day with a 60 foot birdie on #10.  He followed that up on #11 with a tomahawk drive that ended up 10 feet from the basket.  Bob converted the birdie on #11.

Only six birdies made:  Steve(3), Bob(2) and Dave(1).  One disc found and Lif thinks he may have left as disc somewhere.

Brushy Creek - El Gato

We were blessed again with good weather this week when we played Brushy Creek (aka Cat Hollow) in Round Rock.  The players were:  Steve, Keith, Bob, Lif, Dave, Chris and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's, sunny skies and there was some wind to contend with.  Course conditions were dry but clean.  The course was not crowded but we did let several small groups play through.

I had a decent round today, around my average for this course.  The wind was a factor for all of us.  Steve had another good round ended up even par. Even Steven.

Only four birdies were made today:  Steve(3) and Chris(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Another Beautiful Day

We met up at 8:30 at the Met Center this beautiful morning for another exciting day of disc golf!  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Bob, Lif, Chris, Darden, Dave and Heady.  Conditions were perfect, temperatures in the low 80's, sunny skies and no wind.  The breeze did become a factor on the last few holes.  Course conditions were perfect and a surprisingly low number of players were on the course.

I played pretty well today.  My drives were not great but they did the job.  I missed a couple of easy putts but I made a couple of tough ones.  Darden had the shot of the day with a long distance throw of 100+ feet to save par on #6.  Keith made a long clutch putt on #6 for a birdie.

There were 14 birdies made today:  Steve(5), Dave(3), Darden(2), Lif(2),  Keith(1) and Chis(1).  No discs lost but three discs found by Steve, DD and Lif.
