Circle C - Course Reopened

The City of Austin reopened the disc golf courses this weekend, after shutting them down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  We took this opportunity to play our favorite course, Circle C.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Bob, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's, mostly cloudy skies and only a slight breeze to offset the humidity.  Course conditions were good, mostly dry.  There were several trees that were down from recent storms.  The course was not as crowded as we anticipated.

Other than four disaster holes I did alright.  I got off to a slow start and scrambled to make par on many of the holes.  I'm surprised my score was not worse than it was.  I had four opportunities for a birdie but did not come close on any of them.  Dave continued his streak of making birdies from great distances.  Chris is getting some good distances on his flicks!  Bob made par on the difficult #5.  Steve made par on the difficult #18.

Only four birdies were made today:  Bob(1), Chris(1), Dave(1) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Brushy Creek (a.k.a Cat Hollow)

We had an early 8:00 start at Cat Hollow this morning to beat the rain, the heat and the crowds.  Turns out the rain never came, neither did the crowds or the heat.  Although it was very humid.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Lif Bob, Chris and Heady.  Temperatures were in the lower 80's, partly cloudy skies and an occasional breeze.  Course conditions were dry and fewer players than usual were on the course.

Whatever fine touch I had yesterday was gone today.  I got off to a slow start and never really recovered.  Dave had an exceptional round, other than one disaster hole, he really tore it up.  Keith, Bob and Dave all made some very long putts.

Only four birdies were made today:  Keith(4), Chris(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Saturday Bonus Round

We took advantage of a nice Saturday morning to play a round at MetCenter.  Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Chris and Heady.  It was a muggy day, with temperatures in the low 80's, mostly cloudy skies and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good, mostly dry, the sandbox had water as did the creek.  There were several other players on the course.

I had a good day today, my drives were long and straight, my approaches were close and I did not miss any putts.  Other than a disaster hole on #13 and a few other mistakes, I had a pretty good round.

Only one birdie was made today:  Rob(1).  One disc lost by Lif on #17 and one disc found on #17, by Steve, looking for Lif's.
