Davis Spring - New Course

After playing Williamson County DGC, we decided to play a new nine-hole course, Davis Spring.  This is a neighborhood  course, designed by John Houck, that opened last year.  It's an interesting course with a good mix of short and long holes and elevation changes.

Wilco - The Trees Won

We ventured up north to play a round at the Williamson County DGC.  This course seems like it would not be that difficult but it is always a tough round.  The players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Keith, Bob, Chris and Rob.  Skies were overcast, temperatures were in the 50's and pesky breeze was blowing.  At least it was not raining.  Course conditions were good,  a little muddy in places.  There were very few other players on the course.

Not a stellar round for the group, Chris did very well, playing the course for the first time.  I hit too many trees and missed too many putts.  Other than that, I had a god round.   Dave continued his display of impressive drives.

Only five birdies were made:  Steve(2), Keith(2) and Bob(1).  One disc found, getting it down was a group effort.  One disc lost, Bob's drive went into the Voortex on #16.

Lif starts us off!

MetCenter - New and Improved

Today we played the new and improved MetCenter.  I must say I really like the changes.  Today's players were:  Steve, Bob, Keith, Dave, Lif, Chris and Heady.  Bob had to bail out after nine holes.  Temperatures were in the 60's when we started, overcast skies and a slight breeze.  It warmed up during the round and the skies were clearing when we finished.  Course conditions were excellent and there were many other groups on the course.

The redesign changed almost all of the holes.  The long par 5 was broken up and they added an entire new section with a beautiful signature hole #16.   All the tee pads are now marked with large stone blocks, they don't have the signage yet for the short tees.  It's really a new course for us.

I played about my average for this course.  I had some really good drives but my approach shots let me down.  I missed a couple of putts but hit a lot of trees.

There were eight birdies today:  Steve(3), Keith(3), Dave(1) and Chris(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Getting ready to start.
