Circle C - Chilly Start

Fall is definitely in the air.  We had a chilly start at Circle C this morning.  Today's players were:  Steve, Bob, Lif, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 40's when we started but warmed up to the 70's when we finished.  Not a cloud in the sky and the wind held off until about the 14th hole.  Course conditions were mostly dry despite the heavy rains this week.  The course was very active today and we let several groups play through.

Not one of my better games today.  I had three pretty good drives and the rest were horrible.  Several of my fairway shots went deep in the rough.  My approach shots and putting were the only thing that saved me.  Lif had another good game.  Look like all that practicing during the week is helping.

Only seven birdies were made today:  Steve(2), Lif(2), Bob(1), Keith(1) and Rob(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Wilco

It was perfect weather for a round of disc golf at Wilco today.   Temperatures in the 70's, cloudy skies and almost no wind.  Today's players were:  Steve, Bob, Keith, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Course conditions were dry and clean.  There were lots of other large groups on the course.

I played about my average for this course.  I had some good drives but I also had a few disaster holes.  Bob had troubles with his putting, at least four times he clanked off the yellow rim.  Dave continued his display of very nice drives.

Only three birdies were made today:  Lif(1), Combs(1) and Bob(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter

At Lif's suggestion we played MetCenter on Sunday.  Lif was too distraught (probably too tired) after attending the Red River Showdown in Dallas on Saturday to make it Sunday.  We missed you Lif.

Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Bob, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were a little cool, in the middle 50's,  mostly cloudy skies and no wind.   For a change, we met up at Austin Java near the #8 tee pad.   A cup of hot coffee was nice to have before we started.   Course condition were very dry and there were several other groups on the course.

I had a tough day today with several disaster holes.  I started out slow and had some terrible throws.  I was overthinking my throws and had three throws that went into the dirt.  Later I picked it up and managed to throw a few decent drives and approach shots and made a couple of putts that were outside my comfort zone.  Dave had some very nice drives today, straight and long.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Dave(2), Keith(2), Steve(1), Bob(1) and Rob(1).  No discs found and no discs lost.
