Brushy Creek - Rainy Day

We were supposed to play Wilco this morning, but we figured the heavy rains overnight would probably cause the course to be closed.  We played the next closest course which was Brushy Creek (aka Cat Hollow).  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the lower 70's, rain clouds covered the skies and there was a slight breeze.  We got rained on a couple of times.  Course conditions were a little muddy but it wasn't too bad.  There were lots of other players on the course.

I could not get it going today.  I only had a few good drives, one of which was on #2 and it had a chance of going in.  I could blame some of it on wet discs and slippery footing but most of it was just poor form on my part.  My approach shots were pretty good, otherwise my score would have been worse.  Steve had the shot of the day with a 70 footer for par.

Only one birdie was made today:  Keith(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C - First Game of the Summer

It's been awhile since the entire group has played together, good to see everyone again.  We played Circle C in for the first game of the summer.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the low 80's, overcast skies, a little wind and an occasional drizzle.  Course conditions were good and there were several other groups on the course enjoying the day.

I did about average today, I made a few mistakes but overall I was pleased with my play.  I was a little too good on #1 and #12, both par 4's.  My second shot on each went about 30 feet past the basket leaving me with impossible birdie shots.  Lif and Keith both had a little rust but found their game on the back nine.  Steve, Keith and Bob all got bitten by the putting bug.  Lots of them just missing.

A total of four birdies were made:  Heady(1), Steve(1), Keith(1) and Dave(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Father's Day

A small group turned out for a quick round and MetCenter this Father's Day.  The players were:  Steve, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the low 80's, partly cloudy skies and a pesky breeze.  Course conditions were good, there were a few trees that were blown over from the storm last week.  There were several other groups on the course.

My play seems to have regressed from the past few weeks.  My approach shots were off and that caused me to have some long putts.  My drives were alright for the most part, when I did not hit a tree.

A total of five birdies were made today:  Steve(4) and Dave(1).  No discs lost but Steve found a disc in the creek.

Circle C - Warm, Humid Day

We played and early round at Circle C this morning.  We met up at 8:00 and ate a filling breakfast of Macho Tacos, then hit the course.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's - 90's, sunny skies, no wind and a lot of humidity.  We were soaked in sweat by the third hole.  Course conditions were good and there were lots of other players on the course.  We got behind a group of seven, who were playing the long tees and were very slow about it.  We finally got past them on #15.

I had a pretty good game today, I think I had my personal best for this course.  I could have done better but I went from birdie to bogey on #6.  Steve did the same thing on #12.  I missed a couple of easy putts but I made a couple of tough ones also.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Heady(2), Bob(2), Dave(2) and Steve(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
