MetCenter

It was a nice day for some disc golf at the MetCenter.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Bob, Keith, Wesley and Heady.  Skies were mostly cloudy, temperatures were in the low 70's a there was a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good and we had the course to ourselves most of the day.

I played a little below my average for this course today.  I made some stupid throws, my approach shots were long and I missed a couple of putts.  I did make a couple of putts that I easily could have missed.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Dave(2), Wesley(2), Keith(1), Steve(1) and Lif(1).  No discs lost by two discs lost by Wesley, one in the pond on #3 and one in the vortex on #9.

Brushy Creek - St. Patrick's Day

Today, for St. Patrick's Day, we played Brushy Creek (aka Cat Hollow) in Round Rock Texas.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Bob, Keith, Brian (yes Brian) and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 40's when we started, partly cloudy skies and calm winds. Course conditions were good, as they always are at this course.  They do a real good job of maintaining this this course.  There were several other groups on the course today.

I regressed a little bit from my play from the past couple of weeks.  I could not get it going today.  My drives were not that long or straight, my approaches were off, and I missed a couple of putts.  I love this course but I have not mastered it.  Accuracy is what counts on this course and I did not have that today.  Keith had an exceptional round today.  His drives were long and straight, his approach shots were close enough and he made several long putts of 25' or more.  He did not record a bogey.

Only five birdies were made today:  Keith(2), Steve(2) and Bob(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C - Sunday Round

Those who could not play yesterday played today at Circle C.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif and Heady.  It was a little cooler today, temperatures in the upper 60's, overcast skies and very little wind.  There were a few other players on the course today.

I did not play as well as I played yesterday but I still played okay.  I forgot how to throw for a couple of holes.  Lif had some putting adventures on a couple of holes.

A total of five birdies were made today:  Keith(2), Heady(2) and Steve(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.  Not many pictures today, I forgot to charge my battery.

Steve starts us off!

Circle C - Saturday Round

A few of us wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and get in a Saturday round.  Today's players were:  Dave, Bob and Heady.  Weather conditions were nice, temperatures in the 70's, partly cloudy skies and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good, they just laid down a fresh batch of mulch.   Parking was a problem because of all of the soccer games going on.

I had one of my best ever rounds at Circle C today.  I got off some nice throws and my approach shots left me with short putts.  I came close to an eagle on #12, my second throw sailed over the basket.  I only made a few mistakes on the back nine and only missed one putt.  Bob let me throw his River on #15 because that disc curves to the right.  I threw it perfectly, it went around the bend and hit the pole.  I'm going to have to get me one of those discs.

Only two birdies were made today:  Dave(2) and Rob(15).  Bob had some chances but could not convert.
