Circle C - Last Game of the Year

We took advantage of the mild weather and played a Monday round at Circle C.  Today's players were:   Steve, Lif, Dave, Darden and Heady.  Good to see Dave Darden again, it's been a while.  We didn't play yesterday because the weather was so bad, 38 degrees and raining.  Today the temperatures were in the lower 60's, mostly cloudy skies and very little wind.  Course conditions were muddy in places.  There were several other groups on the course.  We let several players play thru.

I did about average for today.  I had a nice stretch of eight pars in a row before the wheels came off.  I did have one of my best drives ever on #18, straight down the fairway and then my disc curved left just at the tree.  Perfect.  And this was with an audience watching.  Too bad my second shot went into the trees.  My putting really let me down today, I missed about four putts that I really should have made.

Dave had to leave after #15.  Too bad, even if he had scored a bogey on #16 and #17 and a double bogey on #18, he still would have come in first place.

A total of five birdies were made today:  Steve(3), Dave(1) and DD(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

North Town - Christmas Eve Eve

It was a little windy and chilly for the round at North Town today.  Temperatures were in the lower 50's and the wind was blowing about 20mph.  At least the sun was out.   Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, Bob and Heady.   Keith's daughter, Kalyn, flew in from Florida to join us.  Course conditions were good, the creek by #9 was still too wide to jump across, so we played and alternate tee box.  We started on hole #3 to bypass a large group of 10 on the first tee pad.

A total of four birdies were made:  Dave(2), Bob(1) and Steve(1).  No discs found but four discs lost, Lif 2 (12,14), Heady 1 (12) and Dave 1 (12).

MetCenter

Sunday was a good day to play the MetCenter, I've always liked this course.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Bob, Keith, Lif and Rob.  It was a little chilly when we started, around 40 degrees, but it warmed up to to the lower 60's when we finished.  Skies were mostly cloudy and almost no wind.  Course conditions were a little squishy in places, but the Met is always that way.  There were several other groups out enjoying the day.

I played about my average for this course.  I always think I should be doing better but I always get tripped up and make some stupid throws.  Dave and Steve were both throwing long today and Bob had some clutch putts.

Only six birdies were made today:  Bob(2), Steve(2), Dave(1) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and no discs found, but Steve did split his Leopard.  Fortunately, he had a spare.
