Circle C - Last Day of 2016

On the last day of 2016, the entire group played Circle C one more time.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Brian, Keith, Bob and Heady.  It was a little cool when we started, temperatures were in the low 60's, with some intermittent rain and a slight breeze.  Weather conditions improved steadily throughout the round.  No one else was on the course when we started.  The cedar was starting to bloom.  An explosion of cedar pollen would occur every time a disc would hit a cedar tree.  Nasty stuff.

We all played a little below average today.  I flat out choked on a couple of putts.  Brian was rusty from missing a few weeks of play.  We got all of our bad throws out of our system for 2016.  Bob had the shot of the day with a 75 foot, all or nothing putt on hole #10.

Only four birdies were made today:  Steve(2), Keith(1) and Rob(1).  Steve had chances for about four more birdies but he blew the putts.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Here's looking forward to a great 2017!

Austin Ridge Bible Church - Christmas Eve

Since it was Christmas Eve, we thought that it was fitting to play a round at the Church.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Bob and myself.  Weather conditions were very nice for the end of December.  Temperatures were in the mid 70's, mostly cloudy skies and not much wind.  It was very humid, some members of the group were soaked in sweat.  Course conditions were pretty good.  It looks like they mowed some of the fairways recently.  Very few other players on the course.

I played alright for the second week in a row.  I managed to avoid hitting the trees.  I had a good front nine, although I flat out choked on a couple of putts.  Steve had a pretty good round with birdies on holes #2, #4 and #5.  All very difficult holes.

A total of six birdies were made today:  Steve(3), Heady(1), Bob(1) and Dave(1).  No discs found, one disc lost by Bob, into the pond on #18.
