Williamson County - Easter Sunday

We had a large turnout for an Easter Sunday round at the Williamson County DGC. Today's players were: Steve, Dave, Lif, Brian, Keith, Mac, Chris and Heady. The weather was nice when we started, about 70 degrees, partial sun and no wind. After the third hole, a cold front blew in and dropped the temperature about 10 degrees and the wind started blowing about 25 mph.

Despite the wind we still had seven birdies: Steve(2), Dave(2), Heady(1), Lif(1) and Keith(1). No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C - Saturday Bonus Round

Three of us decided to play a bonus round on Saturday at Circle C. The players were: Steve, Dave and Heady. Temperatures were in the 50's when we started but warmed up to the middle 60's by the time we finished. Skies were overcast and no wind to speak of. Course conditions were good but the parking lot was full of youth soccer players.

I started out playing pretty good and finished the front nine only two over par. The back nine I had some problems and messed up on a few holes.

Only three birdies were made today: Dave(2), Steve(1). No disc lost and no discs found.

North Town - Equinox

For the first day of Spring we played the North Town DGC in Plugerville. Today's players were: Steve, Keith, Dave, Brian, Mac, Chris and Heady. A little chilly when we started, temperatures were in the low 40's. The sun was out and a tricky wind was blowing. Course conditions were fair, the fairways were getting a little overgrown. There were several other groups on the course.

All of us started out poorly but we did pick it a little on the back nine. I played about average, maybe a little below. I didn't miss any putts but I hit my share of trees. The wind was really a factor, especially on the holes involving water.

Only six birdies were made today: Steve(2), Keith(1), Dave(1), Heady(1) and Chris(1). I think we lost about five discs into the water on holes 12 and 14. I lost one, on #12, it stalled in the wind and dropped like a stone. One disc found by Steve on #6.
