I was getting some sun in Port Aransas last weekend so I did not play on Sunday. The group of Steve, Lif, Dave, Keith and Brian played Circle C.
A total of seven birdies were made: Steve(3), Keith(2) and Brian(1).
Keith had an excellent round shooting even par for the course. Steve was not far behind and finished at +2. Looks like three players (Steve, Keith and Brian) made par on the difficult #18 par 5. Very impressive. Steve and Keith also made par on #5, the other par 5 hole on the course.
I created this blog to keep track of my disc golf games. I will also add topics relevant to the sport of disc golf.

MetCenter - Father's Day - First Day of Summer
It was a squishy day for the first day of summer at the MetCenter DGC. Today's players were: Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith and myself. We had an early 8:00 start so Keith could drive to San Antonio for a Father's Day event in the afternoon. To compensate us for the early start, Keith paid for a delicious breakfast of Macho Tacos that Steve picked up. Weather conditions were overcast and humid, temperatures in the upper 70's with a pesky breeze. We lucked out and the rain did not start until we finished the 18th hole.
I started out pretty well today, must have been the macho tacos, but I lost my ability to drive on a few holes. My approach shots are what saved me and I did make some nice putts. We all had problems with the little creek that runs throughout the course. We spent a lot of time searching for discs in the murky waters. I lost one of my favorites on #9, an Avenger SS, the straightest disc in my bag. The water was too deep to even try to recover it.
Only three birdies were made today: Lif(2) and Heady(1). One disc lost, my drive on #9. Four discs found. Three by Lif, when he was searching the water for his missed putt on #13.

Austin Ridge Bible Church
We had an early, 8:30 start this morning at the Austin Ridge Bible Church. Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Dave, Keith and Heady. Lif brought his daughter, Jenna and his faithful dog, Roscoe. We started early to beat the heat and it did climb into the low 90's with lots of sunshine. This course is located on very rugged terrain and requires precise, technical shots.
I had an average round today. I did miss some easy putts on holes 1 and 3, but I did make some long putts today. I did manage to par #8 for only the second time that I can remember and I finished the round with a string of four pars.
Thanks to Dave for the imported Cohiba Cigars that he brought back from Canada! Keith had a very bad front nine, one of the worst I've ever seen him throw. He picked it up and had the lowest score on the back nine. Steve had an adventure on the par 3, 135 foot, hole #7. Lif had to bail out after hole 12.
Only three birdies made today: Steve(1), Dave(1) and Keith(1).

Circle C - Another Muddy Day
Since most of the other courses around Austin were either swamps or closed we decided to play Circle C again. It rained the night before and it was muddy but not unplayable. Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Keith, Brian and myself. Lif's dog, Roscoe, joined us today. He had a lot of fun running around. Temperatures in the upper 70's and a mostly cloudy sky.
I had some decent drives today but my fairway shots seemed to find the trees. I have a very good drive on #1 but then I hit a couple trees and wound up with a double bogey. I did manage to make par on #5, a long par 5. I also scored a couple of birdies.
A total of five birdies were made today: Steve(2), Rob(2) and Keith (1).
