To paraphrase Ernie Banks, "It's a beautiful day for disc golf...Let's play two!". Today we played one of our favorite courses, Circle C in South Austin. The flowers were blooming and weather was perfect; bright sunshine, cool temperatures and light winds. Today's group consisted of the "Churchill High School Group": Lif, Bob, Steve, Keith and me. It was such a nice day we decided to play it twice. We only kept score on the first round.
I started off well, I was only two over on the front nine, but things fell apart for me on the back nine. Only three birdies were made today: Steve(2) and Keith(1). No discs lost, no discs found. I almost lost my favorite driver (twice), but Steve was able to knock it out the tree each time.
Steve had a very impressive drive on #18, curving around the big tree and ending up in the middle of the fairway. He made par on both par five holes today. Bob is getting some serious distance on his flick throws.
