Cat Hollow Disc Golf Course

Today we made a trip north to play the Cat Hollow Disc Golf Course (aka Brushy Creek).  Beautiful weather today, sunny skies, temperatures in the upper seventies and slight breeze.  Today's group consisted of Steve, Keith, Lif, Big Dave, Bob, Parker, Derek and myself.

This is a nice neighborhood course, mostly short holes, only two par fours.  A mixture of wide open shots and tight tunnels.  Even on a relatively calm day the breeze can affect your shots.  A total of six birdies were made today:  Steve(2), Parker(2), Keith(1), Heady(1).  My birdie was a circus shot from about 90 feet out.  Overall I played a little better today, I started out slow but I made par on the final six holes.  No discs lost, no discs found.

Circle C

A small group today at Circle C: Keith, Dave, Bob and myself.  Everyone else had other obligations.  It looks like they are doing some maintenance on the course in some areas.  The baskets for holes 4 and 9 were missing but there were signs saying the concrete was wet.  The good news is that we all made birdies on hole 4 and we all made par on hole 9.  Bob had a problem with the scorecard today so we stopped keeping score after the 11th hole.  Probably for the best.  Several of us almost made very long distance (100'+) shots, they either hit the basket or clanked off the yellow rim.

The weather today was pleasant, temperature in the upper 80s with a mostly cloudy sky and only a slight breeze.  The course was a little crowded.  We got stuck behind a slow group of eight that brought along stools so they could sit and chat on every shot.  No discs lost, no discs found.  Not sure of the exact birdie count, pretty sure Keith had at least 2.  Thanks to Bob for taking all the good photos!

Metcenter

We played the Metcenter this weekend, a big storm came through last week and there were several trees with snapped and fallen branches.  I like this course, challenging but does not overboard with it.  The group today consisted of:  Keith, Dave, Lif, Bob, Steve and myself. The day started out very humid and still but later the sun came out and a slight breeze picked up.  Because of the recent rains the little creek had water in it.  My discs got wet a couple of times but fortunately the water was clear in most places.  My game has been off the past few weeks, I am very inconsistent with my drives, both with distance and accuracy.  Seven birdies were made today Keith(2), Steve(1), Lif(1), Bob(1), Dave(1) and Heady(1).  Steve had a very nice round again.
