We met up at MetCenter on Sunday for some disc golf fun. Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Dave, Chris, Darden, Keith and Heady. Temperatures were in the mid 80's when we started and in the mid 90's when we finished. Clear skies and calm winds and lots of humidity. Course conditions were good, the creek was mostly dry. There were only a few other players on the course.
I order to avoid a group in front of us, we decided to play the back nine first. We disturbed a large wasp nest near the tee box and Darden got stung. Chris was brave enough to knock the nest down. The venom turned Darden into a birdie machine, he finished with five and just missed a couple more.
I had some good drives today, a few had some decent distance. I was happy with my approach shots, I made another 90 footer on #1 with Nick Mata to save par. However, I missed six easy putts, that really killed my score.
There were 14 birdies made: Darden(5), Chris(4), Lif(2), Dave(2) and Heady(1). No discs lost and three discs found.
